No-Fail Bacon Sausage Gravy and Cheddar Sour Cream Biscuits

Bacon Sausage Gravy
1 lb. lean pork breakfast sausage 4 oz. crumbled bacon ½ cup minced onion 2 Tbsp. minced garlic ½ cup Texas Pure All Purpose flour 4 cups whole milk
In a large 12-inch by 3-inch-deep skillet cook the sausage over medium heat along with bacon, onion, and garlic.
When sausage is cooked through, add the flour and cook 5-7 minutes until dark.
Add milk. Stir well. Simmer 10-15 minutes, stir periodically. Serve over hot savory Garlic Biscuits.
Savory Garlic and Cheddar Sour Cream Biscuits
4 cups Texas Pure Baking Mix 1 ½ cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese 1Tbsp minced fresh garlic 2 cups sour cream
In a large bowl, combine all ingredients just until blended.
On a lightly floured countertop, roll out dough until 1 inch thick.
Cut into 12 2 inch biscuits and bake 425 10-12 minutes on a heavy sheet pan.
Serve warm with melted butter if desired.
