7-Grain and Seed Egg Waffles

Sometimes, after a busy week, you just want to gather the family and have some delicious waffles! This recipe is for you. Weather you want to add some fresh berries to your waffles or go with the classic butter and maple syrup, these waffles will come out fluffy and delicious. Chef bumped up the egg content in these ones to give them a great waffle texture and a little more protein.

Texas Pure Milling 7 Grain and Seed Egg Waffles

2 Cups Texas Pure Milling 7 Grain and Seed Baking Mix

1 cup milk or water

4 large eggs (or 1 cup egg whites)

1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:

  • In a medium bowl, combine all the waffle ingredients, whisking well. Pre-heat a waffle iron to your desired baking setting (light, medium or dark). Cover the inside of the waffle iron with non-stick coating.

  • For an 8 inch waffle, use 1 cup of the prepared batter, smoothing the mixture to almost the edge of the waffle iron.

  • Close the iron and bake according to the waffle iron's instructions, usually 3-5 minutes. Repeat. This recipe will yield 3 8-inch round waffles or 12 3- inch waffles.
