English Scones


A scone is a favorite breakfast pastry for a delicious reason. It is a cross between a sweet biscuit and a cookie. Made with just a few ingredients, they are a wonderful addition to any brunch or breakfast table. This is a "build-your-own" scone recipe that allows you to decide what flavors you want in your scone. Add nuts if you like. Add fruit or chocolate. Have fun!

Basic English Scones

2 cups Texas Pure Milling All Purpose Baking Mix 1/2 cup sugar 3/4 cup sour cream

1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 cup chopped nut, dried fruit or chocolate chips

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in a medium bowl until just combined. On a well-floured countertop, Roll out in circle 1/2-inch-thick and cut into 6 wedges. Bake 400° 15-17 minutes.
