Fall Apple Maple Crisp Pie

Here's a delightful Fall Pie that's just in time for Thanksgiving! It's easy to make using a Texas Pure Prepared Pie Crust. It has fresh apples, cinnamon and ginger perfectly balanced with a little lemon and just the right amount of maple. The topping uses our 7-grain baking mix and it comes together in minutes. It's a simple addition to your Thanksgiving meal that adds a ton of country charm.
Fall Apple Maple Crisp Pie
Apple Filling:
5 Granny Smith Apples, peeled, sliced
1 ½ tsp cinnamon
1 tsp ginger
1 tsp lemon or orange zest
2 Tbs. Lemon juice
2 Tbsp. Texas Pure Milling All Purpose flour
2 tsp vanilla
¼ cup maple syrup
Crisp topping:
1 cup Texas Pure 7 Grain and Seed Baking Mix
1/4 cup melted butter
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1 Prepared Texas Pure Pie 9 inch Pie Crust
Directions:
Filling: Combine the filling ingredients in a microwave safe bowl and cook on high for 5 minutes. Stir. Cook 2-3 minutes more. Once partially cooked, transfer to 1 9-inch uncooked pie crust.
Crisp topping: In a second bowl, combine the baking mix, melted butter, sugar and spices. Spread the crisp topping over the apple filling
Bake at 375°F for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
