Grandma's Oatmeal Raisin Cookies in the cookie jar with cinnamon, nutmeg and all the chewy wholesome goodness of rolled oats are the best thing in the world with a tall glass of cold milk after a long day. They are a welcome hug and a smile that take you back to the warm kitchen of your childhood. They are a tradition worth carrying on. Put on that purple gingham apron and think about that sweet wonderful woman who made them for you as a kid. Or, if you're the grandma, gather the little sweethearts around you and make some memories. Grandma’s Oatmeal Raisin Cookies


1 1/4 cup butter

3/4 cup packed brown sugar

1/2 cup sugar

1 egg

1 tsp vanilla

1 1/2 cup Texas Pure Milling All Purpose Flour

1 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp nutmeg

3 cups rolled oats

1 cup raisins

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Cream butter and sugar until combined. Add eggs and vanilla.

  • In separate bowl combine dry ingredients.

  • Mix the dry ingredients with the wet, just until combined.

  • Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 375°F for 10-11 minutes.
